Since most guilds have a ventrilo (vent) server, why shouldn't we?
Uninstall the old one and get the newest client here.
Remember to turn off your firewall/antivirus program before installing ventrilo.

Download & Installation
:

Find the program and click on it. Right click on it if you use vista and take admin control.

Install the program. Press run.

Select accept and press next.

Accept the license agreement and press next.

Enter your name and press next.

Change your destination or just press next.

Press next.

Press finish.

Configuring ventrilo:

Click on the icon on your desktop.

User account:
Click to add or edit your user account.

Fill in your user information, like this.

Server settings:
Add or edit server connections.

Fill in the hostname/ip, portnumber and password.

Channel name
: Einherjar
Hostname/ip: 89.149.230.182
Portnumber: 27974

Click on setup.

Change your setup configuration so it look like this.
Remember to unmark "Play Key Clicks". The "Push To Talk
Hotkey" is the one you use when you want to talk.
It's set to left ctrl by default. Select another key, that you don't use
in game, like right ctrl.
Select your output and input device and mark the "Use Direct Sound" box.

You can change if you want to hear people logon/off and more.

You can select if you want bindings to be played here.

You can activate text to speech messages here.

Connecting:

Now you are ready to connect to the server. Press the connect button.

You should automatically be in the Einherjar main channel.
Otherwise, select the channel and enter the password; valkyrie
There are a few sub channels. The ones with a red cross requires a password.

Miscellaneous:
You can add texts after you name, by clicking on the comment button.

There is a regular chatbox, just click on the chat button to join.

Bindings:

Text to speech binding

To add a binding, click on the bindings key.

Click on the new bind name key.

Enter a name for your binding and press ok.

Press the add button for making a new hotkey.

Select "Text to Speech", select a hotkey and press ok.

Select your new binding in the main menu.
Just press your hotkey and you will hear the word(s).
